Designing
Once lighting objectives are set, the lighting designer proposes solutions based on project parameters. Sketches and drawings demonstrate alternatives. Light sources are analyzed for efficiency, light beam distribution, size and colour as well as their integration in architectural details. The location and direction of light sources are chosen to maximize visual comfort. Daylight conditions, reflectance values and contrast levels are also evaluated. Lighting designers evaluate light quality as well as light quantity.
